There is no greater truth than the one expressed through the careful peeling of fruit. I am a child of the vine. The moments I look into the mirror and scribe an honest report of the reflection, are the only ones where I get to be the farmer, the seed and the soil simultaneously. What fruit will my words bear this season? Who will be fed and nourished by their pulp? Whether they are carefully plucked from the branch when they're picture perfect or they fall from my mouth from an overripe weight, my truth lies in their juice. Cloudy, unfiltered and raw! I will always be a child of the vine, so in short, I write for the harvest.

Articulate Scars - Comfortable Silences and Reluctant Tears

What started out as therapy for a broken heart evolved into a voice for words I never knew I would be destined to share. Why Articulate Scars? If you’re severely cut with a knife, it may heal, but a permanent mark will remain. If you gain weight quickly, your body will produce stretch marks as a result. In the three years it took me to compile these works, I’ve been entrenched in the rigors and whimsy of romantic endeavors, as well as an exponential growth toward self-actualization—the embracement of which has left my spirit beautifully scarred. These poems are living testaments to love’s losses and wins, adult growing pains, and dreams realized and deferred.
